Can SEOs Adapt to the Changes in Online Search?
Andrew Tuzson – Founder / CEO
Thought leaders believe there are too many changes taking place in SEO, and they’ll try to convince you it’s on its last legs. They want you to believe SEO is coming to an end. They have diverse reasons for feeling this way, and in all honesty, they are right to a degree because the environment for online search has definitely changed over the past few years.
At one time, search engine optimization was a nice way to say it’s easy to game Google. Today, this really is not the case any longer and Google algorithm updates constantly keep SEOs on their toes.
As you can imagine, there’s a lot more competition trying to bully their way into the top rankings on Google. With the rise of smart devices, it’s even easier for people to find things on the Internet. Cortana, Siri, and other digital assistants scour the web in different ways to find similar things. Traditional search engine optimization might not be as effective in this environment, but it doesn’t mean the tactic is completely dead and buried.
All the doubters and naysayers are going to tell you search engine optimization is long gone. They’ll tell you tactics in the past no longer work, and tricks and strategies that used to be effective are part of a dying breed. We have to agree with them and their assessment, but SEO is far from gone. In fact, we have 14 reasons why search engine optimization is still stronger than ever and we’ll share them with you today.
